I couldn’t have asked for better house/pet sitters. I could tell immediately that Edith Ann was comfortable and well cared for just based on the photos Nina sent regularly. It is easy to tell, by the look in a cat’s eyes, if they feel safe and comfortable, and it was clear that she did. On top of that, I returned to a perfectly tidy house. I also enjoyed chatting with and getting to know Nina and Pete and hearing their stories of their travel adventures. I would gladly recommend them as either a house or pet sitter.

Nina and Pete were fantastic, Kola absolutely loved their company and they obviously loved her back and took great care of her. They watered our newly planted trees on short notice and left the house spotless too.

Pete and Nina were great! They were very fastidious looking after our home. They left everything spotless and perfect. Our three Fur Babies were very well looked after, having lots of walks. They took to Pete and Nina immediately (DOGS ARE SMART). We received daily input, stories and photos, so we were totally comfortable, knowing that our babies and our home were very well looked after. Nina and Pete are easy to get along with, they have had a very interesting life, and they just go with the flow. We cannot recommend them highly enough and we definitely will ask them in the future to do further Doggie Sits for us. 10 out of 10 for everything Pete and Nine and thank you again.

I have to start this by saying these people are THE BEST HUMAN BEINGS ON EARTH and if they have applied to do your sit, snap them up as fast as you can. March 2020 they came to look after our little Lola for four weeks and while we were away the world shut down and we were trapped out of Thailand. They not only stayed on for six months to look after her until we could get her back, but they also packed up our entire house and shipped it to us, sold the things we wanted selling, helped us with selling our car and took the BEST CARE ever of our little Lola. They spoiled her, loved her and treated her like the princess she is. They took her to numerous vet appointments, made sure she always had her medication, checked out things that they thought was wrong with her, they are just the most amazing people I have ever met. They left our house in perfect condition (way better than we would have left it) and we got our entire deposit back from the landlord (unheard of in Thailand). Oh, I should mention here they then went on to rent another house and apply for long stay VISAs so they could ensure that they could look after Lola until we could get her. They sent photos of Lola every day with out fail for six months. And I always felt I knew how Lola was spending her days and she was always so happy. Oh and this was all during a stressful global pandemic! They are both full of energy and took Lola out whenever she wanted (and she can be very demanding). Pete is also quite the handy man and was kind enough to fix and paint loads of stuff in our house. They are both basically super human, and I really mean this. It was also such a relief to have people looking after Lola that were world travelled, financially very secure (and able and more than willing to pay for loads for Lola so that we could just settle account at the end), and had the freedom to stay and look after Lola (not having to run back home for jobs). I cannot even begin to describe how much this meant to us. Every time I try and tell the story and how thankful we are for Nina and Pete I almost start to cry. These people are by far the kindest, most generous, wonderful humans I have ever met. I would have been a complete mess this entire time without them being with Lola. I will forever be thankful for them and after these last six months they feel more like family to us then pet sitters. I actually feel sad that our time together is over and as I write this am tearing up. I know we will stay in contact and I hope you are as lucky as we were to get to know these fabulous people.

Nina and Pete were fantastic sitters. They walked miles with Safi and she had an amazing time and loved them both. The house was spotless when I returned home. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

“Wow, Nina and Pete really do set the bar for house and pet sitting – they completely surpassed all our expectations. From the moment they arrived we knew Gryff and our home was going to be thoroughly looked after, they were so organised, reliable and clearly have a deep love of animals. While we were away they kept us updated with texts and pictures and, despite a week of dreadful British weather, they got out and about and took him on lots of adventures and everywhere they went he went with them (they’re so organised they brought their car all set up for muddy dog transportation). Gryff had an absolute ball and even got taken to Pets at Home to choose a new toy, which he’s now taken to keeping in his bed. We had some flight delays on the way home and they insisted on staying until they knew we were definitely en route which made for a really late journey home for them. Upon our return our house was absolutely spotless (and I mean SPOTLESS!), bread and milk in the fridge and a beautiful bunch of flowers and card for us. They’d even brought their own bedding so we had no laundry to do, which, with a houseful arriving the next day for Christmas, was so massively appreciated. Gryff had clearly been looked after to the highest possible standard, washed, brushed and loved. Their care, attention and kindness is second to none. If you’re lucky enough to have Pete and Nina offer to housesit for you grab the opportunity with both hands, they really are the platinum standard of housesitting.”

“Wow, what a wonderful couple. WE have used THS for many years, but Nina & Peter are simple the best ! We were kept very well informed, with photos of our very elderly cat being pampered and loved. It was very reassuring for us to know he was being well looked after. When we returned the house was spot less and as a first,.. they had bought all their own bed linen, towels and even tea towels. There was nothing for us to do. I can’t thank them enough and would love to use them again, if you get the chance grab them with both hands.”

“Nina and Pete were just the best house sitters ever! We can not recommend them highly enough. We met a few weeks before the actual sit to organise arrangements and then they very kindly arrived early to begin the sit the day we left. They were super organised and even arrived with their own bedding ( including quilt!) plus towels. This was such a help upon our return as it meant no washing. We were greeted by two very happy dogs and a spotless house. Nina and Pete kept in touch the whole time we were away and sent lots of pictures of very happy dogs on numerous walks. Nina and Pete are definitely animal lovers and genuinely seemed sad to be leaving Nancy and Nellie. We very much hope they may be able to sit for us in the future as they were truly excellent.”

“Nina & Pete have house and animal sat for us before, and we were thrilled that they were happy to return for a second stay this autumn. We were travelling to the other end of the world this time, so we needed sitters who are independent, capable and able to cope in an emergency should one arise. We knew we were in safe hands with Nina & Pete! We have a lovely trusting black labrador, who can pine for us when we’re away – not this time, however. Nina & Pete took her everywhere with them and sent us photos of her enjoying herself (she actually smiles when she’s happy so you can always tell!) while out and about with them. Our oriental cats, who are a bag of mischief and often require a firm hand, were looked after wonderfully. As were our three donkeys and flock of chickens. Nina & Pete are good communicators and strike the perfect balance of letting you know all is well at home, but not overwhelming you with too much information – so you can enjoy your holiday! They bought extra pet food when we ran out – without asking or worrying us. We came home to a clean and tidy home, freshly cooked food for us in the fridge and happy animals – what more can you ask? We’d be happy to have them back again!”
